One in Baton Rouge. One in Ann Arbor. Frick all that Neutral site BS!

Alleva is burning his bridges with a lot of BR business community people and local LSU fans/Alumni by moving big OOC games to out of state. BR gets all the "Sisters of the Poor" games while Dallas/Houston TEXAS get the watchable OOC's. Kind of insulting to all the lowly locals. Unacceptable!

LSU tried to make it happen back when Bo was the HC but he demanded a 2 for 1 agreement & LSU told him to shove it. According a friend who used to work in the athletic dept.

You may be right. I do know that the late Bob Brodhead said on his old radio show that he tried to schedule UM for a home-and-home series back in the late 1980s, but they refused--so LSU ended up having to schedule Ohio State instead. At the time, UM definitely had a lot of schools interested in playing them, so they had plenty of options to choose from--it seems like they usually chose to schedule the teams that were willing to travel to UM without expecting a home game in return.

While I would love it. Won't happen under Miles. Same as UVA in baseball, won't happen with our coaches. Would love a H&H with VCU in basketball.

I want a home-and-home with the following teams:

as long as you don't have a life limiting illness you're gonna get your wish here.

but later rather than SOONER. amirite??!!!!

would love a home and home with mich. even if they did a detroit-nola home and home instead.

but i'd rather see a game in the big house just to check it off. and i'd like to see the expressions on the wolverine fans when they realize death valley isn't wisconsin or ohio state.

edit: also don't know if this was mentioned but when verge ausberry was interviewed like 2 yrs ago he was specifically asked about Mich and his response was "they won't play us unless ND drops them off the schedule."

Didn't Les address this and say that we would not schedule Michigan in the regular season?

So what's the deal with the Miles/Carr feud? I know it has something to do with Jai Eugene but I never heard any details.

Home and home series vs. good/great OOC opponents are apparently a thing of the past. LSU prefers to "sell" out for neutral site games, screwing students, season ticket holders and the entire B.R. business community, in the process !

It goes back further than that. It developed when they were both assistant coaches together at Michigan. When Carr became the head coach, Miles was basically told to find another job.

LSU will not and can not afford to pass up a prime neutral site game like LSU/Oregon to start the season in the Cowboys Classic. Too much money and exposure for the program to pass on....The same could be said with a neutral site game with Michigan if offered

I understand the point you're making but the same matchup in Tiger Stadium or Autzen would have generated just as much exposure and hype.

These games should be played on the campus of one of the schools. That's college football.

no. the most exposure would come from playing a marquee matchup like this in Death Valley... (see VT in '07, WVU in '10) those games were Primetime games that shone brightly on LSU and Tiger Stadium, where we are famed and feared. Neutral site games suck! A series or game between LSU and Michigan would be MUCH BETTER and more FUN going between Death Valley and The Big House. screw JerryWorld and Houston.

I understand and agree with prime home and home game would be preferred. I would love to see LSU play a game against Michigan at Tiger Stadium and the Big House in Ann Arbor. However, the trend in college football right now is to play LSU/Michigan in JerryWorld. If LSU passes on this type of match up, Alabama will hop on it in a second for money and exposure...

I understand the argument and idea FOR neutral site games. but from the "exposure" argument, I think its crap. Alabama can't get any more exposure, they've won 3 of 4 National Championships and they are trying to win their 3rd straight. No neutral site game can get Alabama as much exposure as any of those 3 BCSCG appearances.
