I really loved when the part after Bull got separated from the others in a town and had the crazy night in the barn. They were all going to go back and find him. He came up and they had a conversation where he was told what they were up to. Bull then told them in a manner of fact way, "Never did like this company none."

Just broke the tension, settle them all down and said everything that needed to be said from both sides.

One of my favorite parts that gets passed over is the episode with the replacements. Specifically, the talking heads who said they didn't really accept the new guys. How difficult it must have been to be a 17-year-old kid who was just trying to make it through like everyone else.

Doc Roe was one of my favorite unsung characters. It's a tough one to get through, but Bastogne is one of my top episodes.

Made it through two episodes last night. Starting up again this morning.

My take from the first two: David Schwimmer did a good job of really making me hate Sobel.

Best 3 minutes of television ever.

The best thing about Speirs is all you have to say is Ronald Speirs and anybody who has seen the miniseries immediately knows who you're talking about, and the consensus opinion is that guy got shite done, and there's really nothing more you can say.

Like, it can be on a message board, or somebody can bring up BoB while shooting the shite on the back porch at a damn engagement party or something. As soon as you mention Speirs, everybody is like yep, that dude wrecked shop.

My late father-in-law drove a jeep right behind them all across Europe. He was a Sgt. supervising the supply trucks right behind the front line troops of Easy Company. He kept up the food and ammo for the troops. He loved talking about it before he died. When the Germans over-ran them in the forest, he had to shoot a German with his pistol. Great show and series. I've watched it about 4 times, have it recorded.

I will forever picture your FIL as Jimmy Fallon! (ETA: Even though JF played a Lt.)

Hardest to watch. SSSGT Malarkey getting his laundry and sorting out and picking up the tab for WIA and KIAs.

Easiest. George Luz imitating the COL. and getting Sobel to cut the fence. "Oh, that dog don't hunt!!"

Spiers "Hopeless War" speech. Favorite scene

Doc Roe was my personal favorite episode. I actually worked for his brother in Morgan City.
