playing in a league with some friends and we have a crazy setup...looking for opinions of draft strategy

10 team league

1x QB
3x WR
2x RB
1x TE
1 WR/RB Flex
1 QB/WR/RB/TE Flex
1 K
1 Team Defense

scoring is pretty standard expect for big bonuses for 300+ passing, 200+ rushing/recieving and 1 ppr

I'm currently thinking of going QB, QB with my first picks.

I have the 6th pick.

Thoughts?

You can start 4 rbs? And you are considering going QB, QB? Bad move... Go RB,RB,RB if you can.

How much are passing TDs worth?

QBs > Rbs all day, even if passing TDs are 4pt

I think you are missing the big picture.
While QBs traditionally have the highest ceiling for points, the drop off is often less drastic.
You will still be ok if you get a top-15 QB, rather than Bress or Rodgers. Heck, you can prob wait and get someone like a Russell Wilson and Andy Dalton in late rounds, and still have solid seasons from them.
Though, with RB's after you get outside the elite, the point difference is more significant.

Go 2 top qbs while all the other asshats are fighting over rbs.

If probably go RB RB QB WR WR QB

Unless QBs are going really early. Then is I'd go RB RB QB QB

Passing TDs are worth 6 and there's a 10 pt bonus at 300, 350 and 400 yards

Nah, you are wrong.

The reason that the drop off is bigger in most leagues with RBs is because the league starts a minimum of 24 (in 12 teamers) and usually at least 30 with the flex.

Two qb leagues means that qbs should treated as high end RBs in standard leagues. If you are smart, you start two qbs. Get the top available right away. If you do not get a qb early, then you end up with a Ponder or Weeden.

First two picks should be best qbs available. You will still get good rbs and wrs because most teams will be doing this strategy as well.

You are still going to have to draft Dalton in the 4th/5th so what does that save you?

Go 2 QBs early, get studs that you know will get you 20pts each week (no RB is a lock for that as there is so much more fluctuation with that position year to year)

In a 1 QB league, I say wait til late for QBs. 2 QB league- my first 2 rounds I'm taking a QB

I don't want to be stuck with Dalton or Cutler in the 5th round when I could be grabbing RB2s or WR2s to compliment my 20point per week lock QBs

Considering this a 10 team league that just rolls out QB points, I suggest he goes QB/QB also.

In any reasonable scoring system, that would be silly.

I suggest 3 QBs, only because you can miss on a RB...and you'd be able to name your price with a stud QB once the RB,RB,RB guys realize how fricked they are

This was my thought as well. There's no money in this league hence the crazy scoring...but I still want to win

I think you're missing the big picture a bit. Yeah there isn't as big a drop off from qb1-10 but there is a hell of a drop off from 1-20+. Going rb rb rb would really put him behind the eight ball with the qb position. There is no remote shot in hell he's getting wilson/d Alton in the later rounds in this format. Get the 2 qbs and then go bpa straight through.

here's what I ended up with...I'm pretty happy

Aaron Rodgers, Mike Vick, Sam Bradford

Trent Richardson, Demarco Murray, Sproles, Vick Ballard, Ronnie Hillman

Andre Johnson, Julio Jones, Pierre Garcon, Kenny Britt, Emmanuel Sanders, Ryan Broyles

Jermichael Finley

Bengals D

RB depth is iffy but other than that I am happy
