12 team Standard Scoring. Drafted 6th.
Passing TDs are 4pts, 1 per 25yds

QB: Brees
RB: Spiller
RB: McFadden
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Tavon Austin
TE: Witten
Flex: Mendenhall
K: Prater
DEF: CIN

BN:
Lance Moore
Denarius Moore
Fred Jax
Rashad Jennings
DHB
EJ Manuel

I tried to let the draft fall to me as I could. I had Spiller as my #4 back, so getting him at 6 was good.

Brees was there in the middle of the 2nd (ADP is 11.5 per rotowire) so I couldn't pass that up.

Took a chance on McFadden in the 3rd, but I believe he is back this year (yeah i'm that guy this year).

Vincent Jackson in the 4th? All day long IMO

Witten fell all the way to the 5th so I couldn't pass that up IMO.

I'm high on T Austin, so I was happy with that.

Overall, I think my team is only OK. Lots of the guys I had targeted went before I thought they should and I had to adapt. I am happy that I hancuffed both Spiller and Mcfadden so that limits my exposure due to injury.

TIA for opinions.

ETA - the "best" footballguys.com bottom line:

With great inseason management, we think you have about a 80 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With good inseason management, we think you have about a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With average inseason management, we think you have a 54 percent chance of making the playoffs.

The rest were in the 60-75% range

super high upside with this pic.he's going to get a ton of touches with homerun power every time he touches the ball

Personally, I think this is a year to wait on QB's, but you can't argue with Brees production

I'll believe it when I see it

Whitten is almost allergic to the end zone....Kyle Rudolph had three times as many YDs as Whitten did last year and probably went 3-5 rounds later

Risky move with a rookie WR2

You're going to need to do alot of bench work. With TWO RBs handcuffed, bye weeks will kill you so keep an eye out on the waiver wire for an emerging RB or a progressing WR2 (Rueben Randle, Alshon Jeffrey, etc.).

At this point, EJ Manual could probably b let go and stock your roster with another position player. If something happens to Brees you can EASILY find somsone comparable to EJ via free agency and I don't think anyone will jump to steal him if it's not a keeper league.

You have alot of upside, but pretty thin so stay busy.

My highest "rankings":

With good inseason management, we think you have about a 90 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With average inseason management, we think you have a 84 percent chance of making the playoffs.

My lowest "rankings":

With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With good inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
With average inseason management, we think you have a 65 percent chance of making the playoffs.

Thanks. Can't argue with anything you said, as I had the same thoughts. I think it is the curse of mid-round picks. People on either side of the snake trying to fill the roster and I am left to grab what's left. I've seen it happen many times. I am a very active manager so I will always be hunting for that player who can help me.

McFadden is in a contract year. Players have a strange habit of playing out of their minds in years like that. That's the only real reason I took the chance. 1st round potential in the 3rd round AND in a contract year. That's the only reason.

Ive always liked Mcfadden... I think he had one solid fantasy year but otherwise been hurt a lot (I think)... hopefully he pans out for you.

JoJo I think you did excellent my friend. I'm sure you made another excel sheet to help you on your way.

I like your RB's, but I'm a little worried about Ridley. I had the chance to draft him myself, but I had to pass. There are too many mouths to feed in that backfield and his production could falter at any time. Getting Bernard though is a solid RB4.

You're WR's are good, but they're speedy. Smith and Djax are a ? coming into the season. They'll either be big upside or it could get sketchy.

either this site is really friendly to everybody, or the 87% should imply my team will flat out stink

Any other TEs out there worth looking at?

Why would you start Zud at flex and not Johnson or Jeffrey?

Who went 2nd? Martin?

Curious who you passed over to grab Lynch?

Love Ridley in the 3rd.

A bit high on Vernon.

Also love the Colston pick of he can get healthy...just makes me nervous they're bringing in so many veteran WRs.
