I respect Emory but the study is just stupid.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State are at the bottom of the study of SEC fan bases. During the period of our study, Ole Miss and Mississippi State actually averaged more wins per season than Vanderbilt. However, Ole Miss generated roughly the same amount of revenue as Vandy, and Mississippi State generated 20% less.”

So the study found that MSU fan is poorer than Vandy fan?

i find the article almost completly void of explanation. it says the results are almost completly based on revenue. what the hell does that mean? and how does revenue even translate to fandom? are we talking the avg. annual wage of season ticket holders; maybe avg. dollars donated to the respective athletic depts; whatever. i respect Emory but this article does no proving of anything and it doesn't even clearly explain it's point of view.
