I'm sure some of the them realize it but this probably accurate for quite a few of them.

they worry more about reggies and bogies than Miles' pr relations

Yeah, he's the one making millions. Why should they really give a shite about his "PR" hits.

ETA: And I doubt CLM gives any fricks about it either.

Do these idiots really believe that Les left it all up to the team?
Apparently, CptBengal thinks so.

He also thinks people like Mingo, Minter, Montgomery, Reid, Tyrann, PP7, Logan, Brockers etc. only play for Miles because they know they'll eventually get paid.

plus Miles makes 4 mil a year...my guess is the kid who ISNT getting paid isnt too concerned if his advertising income takes a slight hit.

I don't know where you are going with that but Hill should absolutely be grateful for the heat Miles is taking for him. He should see the situation as a "near miss" and something that he should make sure never happens again. And, he should be thankful that he still has an opportunity to play.

I just don't think he does. My guess is that he probably always assumed it was going to work itself out and truly believes that he deserves to be able to play.

So, just so we're clear, you think THE ONLY REASON kids come here over Bama, UF, UGA, UT, A&M, Arky, FSU, Miami, etc. is because they know they'll get paid? Is that what you're saying?

only no.

#1, by a WIDE margin, is it gives them the best chance to be drafted highly. To argue otherwise is ignorant.

So choosing to go to any of those other schools wouldn't afford them the same luxury?

It is free publicity for LSU. This will only help with recruiting. End of story. Keeps LSU in the spotlight in a dull part of the season.

Miles has taken multiple PR hits over the years, many of them of his own doing. It's apparent that he doesn't give 2 shits about it, and I don't Hill does either, as long as he gets to play football.

Miles has reinstated Hill to the team. He has never said that he didn't plan to suspend him for a game or two.

If he planned to he wouldn't say anything until closer to the game time to avoid tipping his hand to TCU.

I think the Hill situation will blow over once the season starts

I'm not sure I agree with people who think this. I imagine the first time Hill gets in a game, the television announcer will mention the bar fight situation. That wouldn't be so bad, but then they can show a video of Hill blindsiding a guy in the Tigerland parking lot.

That makes this situation a little unprecedented, although it could become more commonplace now that someone always has a smart phone recording video during incidents like these.

Do people think networks are going to refrain from showing this video during games?

When I worked at LSU, I remember writing "Drug Counseling" contracts for thousands of dollars, all for the football team. I remember thinking....some dude must have some serious heroin addiction to need this many treatments. Turns out, like 5 months later Mathieu was suspended and thrown out. He rarely showed up to any of them.

Dude that's so fricking cool that you know all the inner workings of LSU football
