Thinking about buying a Char Grill Akorn.. basic ceramic Kamado, sell for about $350. Lots of people love them. If I get into it, then maybe I'll step it up to the egg, bayou classic, etc..

Who's got?

Advice/ Pros/ Cons ??

tia..

I've got a Primo Oval XL. Couldn't be happier with it. Large surface area, superior shape (IMO), ability to cook direct and indirect simultaneously, fuel efficient when needing only half of the grill.

I plant flowers in mine...it seems to hold the moisture in the soil well, even on the hottest days.

Advice

Do it right the first time and buy a reputable brand. I just googled that Akorn and it's got a 1-year warranty. Primo, Grill Dome, etc offer warranties of 20 years to lifetime. You're going to like your ceramic grill, no need to test it out. I've taken the cover off my Weber twice since I got a Primo. Use the Primo at least once a week, usually 2-3 times. It's worth the money.

BGE large & mini....excellent cookers, though I am probably going to add a tiny little gas or electric infrared grill for the last-minute, quick, weeknight convenience of it.

You know how to find me...

Just want to keep the name brand separate from the mention of an order due to Google searches...
