We talk pretty callously about celebrities because for the most part they aren't real people to us. It is unlikely we will ever have any real connection to Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian or Anna Nicole Smith. This is different. This isn't just news, these are events in the real life of someone we do have a local, real connection to and are supposedly fans of. You brought up the idea of sending flowers to the funeral from the PT. Do you really want him to come to the site to see the who the wonderful people that sent him flowers are and then all he sees is us discussing all the sordid rumors that are floating around? At least take that discussion to the M/TV or OT.

I don't think there's anything wrong with discussion. We aren't making the rumors up, just acknowledging the existence of some out there. There's nothing wrong with information gathering and discussing them for what they are worth and not worth.
