After finishing the Sopranos around May, I have avoided picking a new TV show until now. I have HBO Go, Netflix, and will soon have Showtime Anytime. I have watched Game of Thrones, Sopranos, Entourage, Boardwalk, and House of Cards. Looking at The Wire, Deadwood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Newsroom, Dexter (seen the first 2 seasons), and Breaking Bad. I'm the kind of guy that will get stuck watching 3 or 4 episodes at a time so I like to keep it to one. What say the movie board?

The Wire or Breaking Bad

I'd say BB for now so you can keep up with the threads on here.

Well this is going to be remarkably easy to answer.

Obvious answer is obvious

The only true correct answer is start both the wire and breaking bad,,alternate every 3 episodes..they are different enough so you can keep up with both easily.

You must watch both Breaking Bad and The Wire.

I'd go Breaking Bad first so you can catch up before the real-time finale and try to avoid spoilers.

The Wire is magnificent, but long been over so no time table and less chance for spoilers.

The Wire serially and curb when you feel like it. While seasons of curb have running story lines, they stand on their own very well, so you can watch it sporadically.

House of Cards. And then report back if it's any good, I'm interested in starting it but don't feel like commiting (sp?).

The Wire is clearly the best show on that list, but you should get with the times and watch Breaking Bad like the rest of us.
