For many of us that may have started watching Breaking Bad on a recommendation, when were you hooked?

What made you realize the hype was justified?

For me, I'd say when Walt threw the mercury or whatever it was at Tuco. I started marathoning hardcore after that.

When the body fell (leaked) through the ceiling. I thought "someone has a sick and twisted sense of humor and story telling. I like this."

The first show and I'm not kidding either.

The last 'sode's garage scene between Walt and Hank was so good that it gave me chills when I rewatched it.

Can't wait for what is to come!

I was hooked from the 1st episode. People say it only gets better as it goes, and it does, but I love the shite out of Season 1. Walt and Jessie are crazy deep in the game yet and Skyler still doesn't know anything. Walt still has some innocence about him, which is nice.

Its amazing how many "hooks" there are. I can't recall a period where 2-3 episodes were dull.

The body spilling through the ceiling also kickstarted my interest, but I did wonder how this was going to bust wide open.

The scene with Tuco (that actor is amazingly intense) and Walt's first major ballsy move had me.

The whole "Crazy Eight" story hooked me. I was hooked from the beginning and not many shows do that for me.

Honestly, the first episode. Even though I kind of knew where it was going (I just started watching prior to the start of Season 5), the first episode was really well done.

And it only gets better...

Tuco

One of my favorite bad guys in all of television history.

I always laughed at Tuco, then always surprised by his brutality. A truly unique, although cliched, bad guy. That's good writing, directing AND acting.

I watched it with my wife (the 1st episode) and she was very skeptical. The ending scene was so awkward she jumped off the bandwagon.

It's definitely not a gal-friendly show - I'm sure some like it, but I suspect the vast majority of people who stick with this are males - it's pretty male-centric.

the episode when he puts the plate together in the kitchen and realizes the guy was lying the whole time and planned on attacking him.

Awesome and chilling at the same time.

Also, the scene when drops the bomb inside Tuco's joint.

Show wasn't recommended to me though. I was the guy hyping the frick out of the show.

I don't think I could have made it waiting each and every slow week for all these episodes. I've had enough of that at the end. This particular show makes that really tough, I'd bet.

Same for me.

I liked the show up until that point, but after that McGyver type shite I was hooked. I remember thinking "Walt is turning into a badass." Little did I know it was only the tip of the iceberg.

My interest was renewed when he ran over the two dope dealers and saved Jessie's life.

My jaw was on the ground for a few seconds after that.

When Walt figures out Crazy 8 stole the piece of plate by pulling them out of the garbage and then chokes him to death. I was shocked as hell when that happened and have loved every second of Walt's journey since then.

In season one when the obnoxious lawyer guy on his bluetooth goes into the gas station and Walt short's his battery to make his Mercedes explode.

From first scene in the desert. Seemed so desolate out there.

I just wish I had watched it live and seen the gradual transformation instead of just rolling through it.
