How do I do this without getting stolen from?

Its oilfield safety related and its pretty simple. I just don't want to pitch it and they say no then they come out with it on their own. I don't plan on manufacturing it myself and will need someone that already has the ability to produce it and just looking for potential royalties.

are most companies willing to sign a non disclosure? I would think they would be reluctant.

A lot of companies let their reputation speak for itself and don't sign NDA for various reasons. But some do. I would research the company you would be talking with. They probably wouldn't still be in business if they were stealing ideas. Unless you have a ton of money to invest in it your gonna need some help.
