I've got pick 5 out of 12 in a league where you can start a QB at flex. At 5 I'm sure brees and Rodgers and AP will be gone. I guess pick 4 will be another rb. I'm thinking of getting Peyton right here. Is this too far? I won last year with Rodgers and romo carrying me. Am I crazy? 25 yards per point, 4pts td passing. Nonppr league

****update: the first 4 picks were qbs so AP dropped to 5 so I took him then shady McCoy on the way back: my team ended up like this:
QB: mike Vick, rothlisberger
RB: AP, McCoy, demarco Murray, Daryl Richardson, Ahmad Bradshaw, knife Davis
WR: Julio jones, Steve smith, Kenny britt, Vincent brown
Te: gates
D/st: ravens
K: bailey

I went in thinking QB/QB first 2 rounds but ended up pretty solid for a 12 team standard scoring non ppr. Wish I could be stronger at QB, but I'm hoping Vick plays well/ healthy this year. What do y'all think?

You shouldn't draft a QB until round 5 minimum. Go RB

Standard. the QBs go really fast in this league, and it seems like the team with the best 2 qbs wins every year. Im thinking peyton can't not have an extremely solid year with all the weapons he has.

Fantasy Football is a circus now. It's like who can come up with the most illogical way to award points so they can see scores in the hundreds.

In this scenario then I would definitely Grab Peyton. Quarterbacks will basically be allowed to make up a huge percentage of total points scored each week. People talk about depth at qb this year but that usually extends to about 12-14 guys out of 32. If you can play 2 I would absolutely make sure 1 is elite(depending on who is there in the 2nd round I may even go back to back)... Tony Romo/Matt Stafford is going to put up significantly more points as your flex than a 2nd or 3rd tier RB will.

There is likely as big a gap between the Brees/Rodgers/Mannings of the world and the Christian Ponders/Matt Flynns as there is between Adrian Peterson and Mikael Leshore. The entire reasoning for taking rbs early is a lack of talent/depth at the position. This is even more true when you are potentially bringing 75% of the league's qbs into play. Considering qbs can put up huge numbers on a weekly basis easier than any other position, this puts good ones at a premium.

I'd also assume you're going to have more options to get good players in earlier rounds as more guys will be reaching on qbs.

Grab Doug Martin in the first and possibly go QB/QB with the next two. Should be able to get a pairing of the following Kaep, Ryan, Wilson, Luck. If a good QB isn't there in the third, wait a couple rounds and take Cutler, Dalton, or Palmer.

Good luck.

Definitely take Peyton. In a two qb league qbs are worth so much more than any other position.

My top two picks would be QBs, no doubt in my mind on that.
Qb scores 250yds and 2Tds = 18pts
RB scores 100yds and 1TD = 14 pts.
Which one wold more likely occur more often?

Take QBs with your first two picks

Best strategy for 2 QB leagues

Sorry but I can't really help you. The QB at Flex completely screws things up. I don't know what positions come of the board at or what positions usually win the League for you. I would have to have some experience with it to help.

We had the same set up in our 10 man league...I picked 10th and got Brees and Rodgers back to back. Not sure what everyone else was thinking
