Anyone play it yet? I know it's out for 360 but it wasn't out for PS3 when I checked at noon.

What's the word on it?

Feels very similar to NCAA14 honestly. Mechanics and game engine are the same really

How's the defense?

Niners vs Ravens and Packers vs. Seahawks.

Defense is pretty non-existent as well unfortunately. I played on All-Pro both games and could pretty much move down the field at will. Problem was, so could my opponent.

I agree that defense is not what it used to be. I've been running a lot of zone, man coverage seems to work better but it's going to take some time to develop some killer d

ETA: Eric Reid is a beast

it plays a lot like Ncaa which i like because i think the ncaa gameplay is better than madden but i think having pros and the look and feel of madden is better...

Really? I run so much more zone in NCAA (and hence this) because man coverage is so incredibly easy to beat. It's actually comical.

i hate zone in both ncaa and madden there are always holes to exploit... that being said i have to recruit really well in ncaa to run man and i just played a game with the seahawks and ran a lot of man and held the packers to 1 td on all pro... you might play on all madden tho

It all depends on the ratings of those in coverage with how they will respond. You can't just put a guy with a low zone coverage rating and low play recognition in zone coverage and expect him to lock down the receiver constantly. Then again, I prefer to get build my coverage around corners who have a high man coverage rating and high press rating. I prefer my free safety to have a high zone coverage rating and high PR rating.

I like to press and blitz, but that's just me.

The question is can I play co-op franchise mode while playing on the same xbox?

Sounds like it was Saints vs Saints

They have a ton of minor fixes they need to put in before the final release. Also, the better the quarterback, the less turnovers they are responsible for. EA has this shite backwards. They seem to do everything they can to help the CPU defense take the ball from you but the ball can hit you several times right in the hands and nothing.

As of right now, I'm not buying this until I can get it for $40 on Amazon or used at Gamestop for the same price. If EA comes out and acknowledges and fixes most of these problems (cpu's overpowered option blocking, forced turnover ai, learning the angles on passes, making my linebackers less retarded in zone), then I'll reconsider, but I feel they took a step back in gameplay this year. Looks prettier though and I do like some of the improvements they made, but the positive additions are far outweighed by the negative.
