Kendall Beckwith, Ethan Pocic and their freshmen friends will just have to sneak up on opponents this year. Just like LSU itself.

LSU isn't going to be sneaking up on anybody this year. I'm pretty sure everyone they play is going to take the #13 team in the country seriously.

I always go back to what chip kelly said about LSU after we played them 2 years ago. Talked about the freshman and special teams players would start anywhere in the country

what he said about Jarvis was awesome

What exactly did he say? I don't remember this.

After a couple of strong wins people will look at us differently. Frankly, I'm glad to be flying under the radar around the top ten.

That's right everyone else, start breaking down A&M's film, not ours.

about Jarvis he said something along the lines of, "#80 on their team would be one of the best safetys in the country then I found out he was a freshman was thought wow, Then I found out he was a WR. They talent and depth they have is unreal

not an exact quote but it was something like that. It was pretty funny

This, and even apart from being #13, LSU is always a contender year in and year out... not sure why anyone would overlook them or not take them seriously.

Just like nobody had heard about LSU's young talent heading into the 2011 season.

You know those 7 kids now competing for NFL roster spots.

Not the impression I've gotten, especially from the national folk.

I guess what gets me most pissed off is the perception LSU isn't in the 'reload' mode, despite our strong recruiting.

Rather, this will be a rebuilding year so to speak. It's been awhile since LSU was in that mode imo...

If we lose to Bama this year, I would like to see this team not give up. When we beat them we dominate down the stretch. Used to be the same for Florida. When we lose, it's like the team quits.

Because there is nothing left to play for. After losing that game, LSU won the rest of their games and were a first down away from winning their bowl game. And, it meant nothing and they knew it. It is hard for kids to get motivated to win out when they are going to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl no matter what.

Les and the poor offensive showings over the past few years.....they are just basing it off of history.

thing is, that history is pretty strong

I don't think LSU quits per-say, rather the bar has been raised so high that once a natty is out of the question you just see a natural air out of the balloon effect.

This is both good and bad at the same time.

Need to worry about UGA on the road first before the Bama game.

I felt like the pro prospects realed it in a bit after the bama loss. It sure seemed they didn't want to risk any injury since they weren't going to the championship.

I won't ever fault someone for safe business practices.
