People were really parking on sidewalks? No self-respecting campus should allow this kind of behavior. What took them so long to correct this?

just the outskirts. the end result is basically the same. visitors dont park on campus.

thus the statement "not too different from lsu" is correct.

But surely you can see the difference between not doing so out of your own choosing and not being allowed to under the parking policy (assuming what the op said is true).

I've been to ole miss 5 times. I've never parked on a sidewalk but I've always parked in a parking lot somewhere on campus. If that is no longer allowed, and isn't even an option, then it is a major change and is different than LSU.

ll take a stab that you are talking about lsu and not ole miss, and the street you are talking about is dalrymple. so im guess you mean like the law school parking lot or u high parking lot.

I wouldnt call that outskirts if it is a 30 second walk to the parade grounds which is arguably the biggest tailgating area. (Sans rv lots)

i do see the difference. which is why i said it REALLY wasnt all that different instead of saying it was the exact same as lsu.

They have to pay or are not allowed to park in the Parker lot? Thats still showing free and has long been a lot that visiting fans used. Its certainly on campus as is everythign east of Highland. Then the Levee Lots are there too. They dont kick out visitors.

i think parker might be right on the edge of free. but no visitor will ever get in there.

I think it depends on the team.. I know when a team like UGA or Tenn visits and brings a large contingent that seem to be all parked along South Stadium.

Not in the middle of the sidewalk, there are some narrower one ways on campus where people will put one wheel on the curb to allow traffic to continue to flow. I've never had such an easy time getting off a campus as I do at ole miss. I went to ole miss-A&M last year and stayed until the end and was off campus in 15 minutes.
