Yea, Quinn is way too convinced that Zach did that murder with little to no evidence.
He almost seemed confident that Zach's blood would show up. IMO, when Dex said it didn't and Quinn finds out, Quinn is going to start wondering what the hell is going on.

He specifically said, "did you find anything at all linked back to the kid" or something of the nature
As if he was surprised or thinking for sure it would have traced back.
I think Quinn may have got the neighbor, but I am not sure who the brain person is.

I think it is kind of funny that Masuka and Yvonne were both on Chuck together and now they are on Dexter together. Masuka = Harry Tang from season 1 and some of 2.
Vogel didn't seem shocked when she was looking at the brain piece at the end of the episode but she also seemed to really have hope for Zach being what she was looking for so I don't think she killed him.
Quinn killing Cassie is plausible to set the frame on Zach. He may have thought the fact that Dexter was friends-ish with her would get Dexter's support in pushing through the evidence and linking Zach to it.
I don't see Elway being the brain surgeon. I could see him going crazy and killing Dexter now that Deb is going back to the force. I just don't see him having the skill set to be the brain surgeon.
I would say that Masuka's daughter could be the brain surgeon but Zach being in Dexter's apartment makes no sense from her point of view.
The Zach being in Dexter's apartment part throws me for a loop. I just don't see anyone really putting that connection together that has the skills to remove certain sections of the brain.

If we're still talking about Quinn, he actually did ask. When he showed Dex the photos and was gleefully showing him how similar they looked to the first killing, he also told Dex to keep him appraised if any of the kid's DNA showed up from the scene. I didn't think anything of it until it became obvious the kid didn't kill the second chick.
Not sure it's Quinn, but the writers definitely gave you enough info to conclude it could be.

Cassie's boyfriend is plausible. Been keeping tabs on Dexter. Got with Cassie to make it easier to watch Dexter. It's not going to be Quinn. He is a lot of things but a killer ain't one.

Im not sure if its because of shitty directing or Im just wrong, but it sure looks to me like Vogel is the brain surgeon. I think she was admiring her work at the end of the episode more than looking at it curiously from someone leaving it on her door step. The quote she said about how her patients kept her from boredom and how interesting they are drives me towards that.
As far as who killed Cassie, got to be her boyfriend. He probably saw creeper kid around Dexter and thought he would be an easy frame job. Quinn doesnt seem like the type.

I'm putting my money on Cassie's boyfriend now.
First I thought it was too obvious so I was trying to see a killer in Elway, but he is likely just somebody who will get in the way.
