I'm watching espn this morning and they are still going over this with a fine tooth comb. I'm curious on some opinions of the aftermath with suggestions like:

Cooper may be done in Philly
Injuries are the only reason hes still on the team
Mandatory rehab
Chris Carter said NFL should take a bigger stand with disciplinary action
He's lost the trust of his teammates. How do you ever play with a guy like that again
Cooper says "it's something I have to live with for the rest of my life"

Now I'm in no way condoning what he did or saying that it's not a big deal, it is. But people say stuff. People also make mistakes. Whatever happened to looking someone in the eye, apologizing, forgiving, and moving on? I feel that instances like espn harping on the issue are doing nothing but perpetuating the divisive nature of his comment.

IMO the ability to forgive a man for such a comment makes an infinitely larger statement. Maybe I'm just too old fashioned. Your thoughts?

Please don't turn this into a shite throwing contest

If the players are still answering questions about it then I don't have a problem with ESPN continuing to cover it. Once the players stop answering questions about it there won't be anything to cover

McCoy thinks that word is much worse than throwing alcohol all over a woman, letting his entourage hit her and leave her on the Jersey turnpike

Anyone who says not enough should loose their SS card and US citizenship.

Kick out every NFL player that ever says anything that could be construed as racially derogatory.

Not near enough.

They should cancel the upcoming NFL season, as that will just be a distraction making it difficult for him to learn his lesson.

Nothing like this can ever happen again.

Well at least I'm not the only one. TD has restored my faith in humanity... as ironic as that may be.

ESPN is among those perpetuating the questioning.
