Granted this is just preseason, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'd get at least a tiny fraction of satisfaction out of watching the Saints skull drag the Chiefs.

Hey, i dont care what anyone says. Preseason does have meaning while the 1s are in. If they shite the bed in preseason, chances are they shite the bed in the regular. Weve seen it with our defense year after year.

The only thing I care about it is they stay healthy tonight. I don't care if a single yard is gained and the Chiefs score on every possession

Agreed here. I don't get when people say pre-season doesn't mean anything. While it doesn't yet translate to real W's or L's, if your team plays like dog shite, of course it means something and there's something to work on.
If you're playing great, it means you've obviously practiced that well and can merely work on that instead of focusing on it.

Anyone remember how the team looked in the Hall of Fame game last year? I don't remember thinking anything remarkable was going on, but I wonder in retrospect how the Defense looked that night.

Offense scored on their first possession with a nice drive.

Malcolm Jenkins intercepted the first pass from Kolb in the game.

It basically all looked too good to be true

Wasn't the offense pitiful in the preseason in 2009, or am I thinking of 2006?

This and you develop a winning culture by winning, whether it's preseason or not.

And this defense needs to play well in the preseason if for no reason other than finding a comfort level in the scheme and confidence in themselves and each other.

The preseason of the Saints Superbowl year, the first 3 games I believe Drew and the O scored on the first possession each game.

I want to see if the Defense shows any sign of life.

I think we know what the offense will basically look like.

A lot of eyes will be on the defense. Looking for them to play with an attitude and play tough. Creating turnovers would be nice.
