Everyone rides Arthur Dayne's dick like he was some kind of god.

Well, he fricking died guarding a woman in a tower with superior numbers.

Selmy fought on the same side as Dayne except he was in the battlefield on the losing side... he survived.

ETA: I suck at math.

It was seven in Ned's group vs the three kingsguard.

I learned from Ser Arthur Dayne , the sword of the morning, who could have slain all five of you with his left hand while he was taking a piss with his right.

the dickriding is justified imo.

That's why I think it should be Barristan vs. The Kingslayer. Those two are still alive .

oh yeah, I went a little derp there but still, three members of the kingsguard should be able to take on a dozen fighters when playing defense in a tower.

they pretty much did. The way it's told with the only two left being Howland Reed and Ned, and Ned saying he owes Howland his life, it makes me think Dayne had Ned on the ground and Reed came at him from behind.

not sure they were in the tower. Neds limited description makes it sound like they were all on the ground.

The Kingsguard were on the ground, I believe Ned's 7 were on horses.

1. They weren't on Horses, at least not for the fight
2. In his memory he's fighting with shadows, I wouldn't say it's the most reputable source, so who really knows

As protest of this tournament i vote that the red viper sneaks into the 4 semifinalists rooms while they sleep and gives each their own special slice of poison

what are you basing that on?

At first I thought that all of them were on the ground, but I started reading that more & more people were refering to the 7 being mounted.

quote:

Ser Arthur and two other great knights of the Kingsguard (Lord Commander Ser Gerold Hightower and Ser Oswell Whent) fought together against no less than seven men. And if Eddard’s dream can be trusted, those seven men fought on horseback against the three Kingsguard who chose to be on foot

quote:

In the dream they were only shadows gray wraiths on horses made of mist, there were seven facing three, in the dream as it had been in life

quote:

Ned’s wraiths moved up beside him, with shadow swords in hand. They were seven against three.

they didn't stand beside him, they moved up beside him

We discussed this in the thread earlier and I thought we decided they weren't mounted

Yeah, Jaime, Ned, Barristan, and Cat, all straight up say that Dayne was the best knight they ever saw or knew in the books (and in the case of Jaime, Ned, and Cat the best fighter they ever saw), but he's totally overrated.
