Noone is talking about him this year. He was rated a top 10 rb last year. I think he will do better this year with a new OC if he can stay healthy. What do y'all think?

He could be top 12, but he won't stay healthy. If he or Mathews REALLY drops I could see myself getting one of them, but they are in the same boat.

They have proven time and again that they do not have what it takes to stay healthy.

I think this is the same thread from last year or the year before. He's talented but it never fails, he will be injured.

The only good thing I can say ab McFadden this year is that Oakland is re-implementing the power run instead of zone. McFadden has excelled at that "when healthy."

I always tend to think DMac's injury proneness is a bit overblown.

16 games in the season.

2008: 13 games
2009: 12 games
2010: 13 games
2011: 7 games
2012: 12 games

Outside of 2011, missing 3 games a year on average really isn't that bad IMO.

I'd take him, contract years always help.

Exactly

Contract year, he will have a good year.

Remember last year, the useless, injury-prone Reggie Bush had a great fantasy year 2012 in his contract year.

4th round or later he's worth picking up as a number two RB on a roster. Definitely wouldn't want him as my lead back.

Can we sticky this as the 2013 McFadden Injury Thread?

Agreed..
If anyone's interested,
A few of us were discussing this today in the "Calvin Johnson" thread on this board. LINK

I'd take him as my third RB.

If he is there in the fourth I might take him. If he STAYS HEALTHY dude could be a top 5 back.

I pick 1st and 4th in my keeper leagues draft this year, mcfadden will not be kept, pretty locked in to taking matt forte #1 but if mcfadden is there at 4 it will be hard not to take him.

Was thinking of going forte, cobb with those 2 picks
