We had big plans to tailgate before the LSU-TCU game so I sent an e-mail asking what time the parking lot will open. The reply I received was that the parking lot will open at 3 pm but will be re-evaluated later.

I sent another e-mail asking why would they host an event such as the Cowboy Classic but won't allow the fans an entire day to enjoy the experience. Opening the parking lot at 3 pm is not worth hauling the canopies, cookers, etc. for just a couple of hours of tailgating.

I received another reply stating that the parking lot will now open at 2 pm and this is final.

Just information for fans traveling to Dallas for the game.

I've put this comment in other Jerry World parking thread, as it for sure works when you don't have a parking pass, but....

1. pull up to lot at whatever time you want
2. tell the attendant you're in that "green lot that lets folks in early"
3. flip him $40 bucks
4. enjoy having first pick

I don't know of anyone using it to get in early, but I personally know two folks that said they were in the "green lot" for the A and M game, flipped the attendant a $20, and rolled in like they owned the place.

that's why we're not tailgating in the stadium parking lot. that's a crappy deal.

I had already thought about going earlier and seeing what I can do. The parking lot map shows the green lots to be Rangers cash lots. Does anyone know what that means? The Rangers are playing that night....can anyone going to the football game park there?

Baking like a Duck in an oven. It was miserably hot in the lot.

Weren't they supposed to wait til like noon? I remember we had a huge line of cars and everybody was bitching about the stupid rule, then they eventually just gave in.
