I got the point. I just wanted to comment on Rendon, who was awesome tonight.

Rendon is pretty fricking good, though. He hurt us all night.

So are Harper, Desmond, Zimmerman, Werth, LaRoche, and Span. Which is why it makes no sense that their offense is so pitiful. They aren't even streaky like us. They score 4 runs on a good day.

Yeah it's awful. Total shite show in Washington this year.

Still, a well built team. They'll be back.

It is going to be tough to swallow our first loss that ends this streak.

I am hoping it just rolls into postseason

I hated that first loss after our streak at the beginning of the season. It felt like a football loss. It hurt.

I believe it was moreso they overperformed last year than it is that they're underperforming this year.

They're not this bad, but they're closer to this than a 98 win team.

Their pen is awful outside of Clippard and Soriano. Their bench is horrendous. Span can't hit lefties, LaRoche has been bad. Zimmerman can't play third anymore.

They have an excellent 1-3 in the rotation and Harper/Desmond/Werth. Ramos is serviceable.

This is considered the MLB record. But it was in 1916...

As it is, Atlanta’s 12 1/2-game cushion entering the day was the largest margin through Aug. 4 in any division since 2005, when the Chicago White Sox led the AL Central by 14 games, according to STATS.
