Boyd thinks being American is the greatest thing that's every happened to him. Really cool to see. I'm pretty sure he and Danny Williams have good relationships with their respective fathers so they probably "feel" American. Not sure about Fabian but JJ has been talking to his dad more over the last few years.

Boyd takes immense pride in being American, I love it.

Williams' parents are still married but Boyd doesn't have a relationship with his father.

As Boyd recalled what he went through to get his passport, there was little ambiguity as to his feelings toward his father. "My parents broke up and he didn't care for me, so I don't care for him," he said.

Weird that he has that much ill-will towards his father, yet this much American pride.

What does wishing a Kenyan happy birthday have to do with America?

ETA: Yes, that is a joke, don't freak out.

That is pretty strange that Boyd feel so connected to his American heritage even though his relationship with his father is so strained. I must have gotten Danny's and Terrence's stories mixed up.
