I'm in the market for a side by side for hunting season and leaning towards the John Deere 850i.

PIC

I've looked at other models but keep coming back to this one. Was wondering if anybody has one or knows someone who has one and can give me their opinion of it.

I'm definitely open to hearing about other brands as well. TIA

Just sold my Polaris ranger 500 EFI. I loved it, the only reason I sold it was because it sat there collecting dust. If I ever buy another, it will be that one

Because....I got nothing. I do it and dont know why. 4 wheeler, atv, quad, bike are all interchangable to me.

Why do people worry about what other people call them?

Not many responses to the OP though. Kinda surprising because I know we have alot of hunters. Logic says they also have hunting BIKES, yet no opinions?

I'd get a polaris ranger. My cousin has one and uses it hog hunting and absolutely loves it.

Depending upon terrain I think I would lean twoards a souped up golf cart. Have a lot of guys at our place that have gone to them and they make a lot of sense IF terrain allows.

at least on 4 wheelers the rider is seated similar to a 2 wheeled bike. No idea why a side by side would ever be called a bike.

Ranger brah. I am in love with mine. Go to your local ranger dealer and see if you can get one for the tax free weekend in September. Thats how I got mine last year. Saved close to 2 grand

Polaris ranger hands down. I drove a 2004 Polaris ranger until July 2012 over 500 hours. Nothing wrong with it just wanted a newer one with more power. I bought a 2012 800 EPS ranger last July. Use it for hunting it is a great machine. If you are looking for the best price in Louisiana for a ranger no one will beat ATV zone in Amite LA

Now that is the kind of bike I thought the OP was going to be about. I use a bicycle for hunting, but no trailer yet.

How much meat are you hauling in that trailer, It looks like just head and hide.

If they are still a rebadged polaris then I might would buy the john deere but Ivknow it's harder to find parts for the older John Deere side by side.
they had a Polaris drive train so those parts are easy to get but everything else is hard to find
