How big a factor/storyline is "Mett's return" when LSU goes between the hedges?

he grew up right outside of Athens, an avid UGA fan. He and Aaron Murray were/still are good friends.

extra nerves or just added motivation?

There was a story in Dig that referred to it this past week. It seemed like Mettenberger didn't really give a shite.

If he and LSU are playing like crap, then none whatsoever.

If LSU/Georgia are both still top contenders for the BCS then I can see ESPN trying to make a storyline out of it.

I live here near his hometown and there is not much talk about it now. He was here Monday, picture in paper visiting his high school.

His mom has been a part of Richt's administration since the beginning. The media will try to make a big deal out of it for sure.

It will strictly depend on how the two teams are doing. Both undefeated? You can count on a drawn out story on college gameday.

As long as he doesn't say the "N" word, like Cooper, he will be just fine. That's how every American should think these days.

I think Mett will play very inspired. He can act like its no big deal, but it would be for me. Mark Richt kicked him out of the football program he grew up wanting to be a part of. I'm sure he would want them to pay for that decision.

For these reasons, this game doesn't scare me. The Tigers will pull it out.

The pregame and in-game commentary will be unbearable.

It will be huge.

Think of a big recruit who grew up in BR, enrolled at LSU, got kicked off the team and comes back to Tiger Stadium as a starter.

Mett will be the key to the game. I think it could define his career. Georgia will have to be outscored this year because they will score points.

Our defense will not be as good as in past years.

If Mett doesn't step up, it will be a blowout.

Not much of a story; been gone too long.

It will be a story, plain and simple. ESPN will be all over it and the student section will have something planned no doubt. I am sure the sign police will be very busy that day.

Desperate attempt to hijack the thread. Nothing to do with Mett.

It'll be an oppressive and overbearing plotline that will beat everyone down for a week. But it will ultimately be meaningless and we'll all move on and it will have no impact on the game.

Those minutes of airtime don't fill themselves.
