Have we ever had a Louisiana team from Bossier make it to the LLWS?

The only teams i've ever seen make it were from Lake Charles or Lafayette

It varies. They have Dixie, Pony, Cal Rypken, LL and even USSSA has a program where rec leagues affiliate with them.

I think Dixie is probably closest to LL. I think it started back years ago as a reaction to LL going with racial integration of teams. Not sure why Pony started. (I think Pony and Cal Rypken are two different age groups of the same organization maybe).

Then there are local municipal rec leagues which may be affiliated with one of these organizations for All Star purposes. I know our local league would change. Some years it was Dixie. Some years it was Pony and some years it was USSSA.

The good teams in Southeast Louisiana play USSSA and would smoke those Little League champs. But it is comparing apples and oranges though because USSSA teams can recruit from all over.

Bullet baseball-Lake Charles, Louisiana Thunder-West Monroe, and Louisiana Tigers-Baton Rouge and I believe North Shore, all made it to the final 8 in the USSSA Elite 32 World Series for 14 Majors this year. Louisiana Tigers lost to East Cobb in the Finals.

This is all true.

But many of the successful LL teams that have represented
LA in Williamsport have had kids who dominate in USSSA,
just not on a team level with their roster top to bottom.

I'm in Fort Worth right now, watching my nephew play for a LA team that will likely be the first LA team to represent LA in the PONY World Series in PA next week for 14 yo's.

He has been on 3 USSSA major teams in the last 5 years that have won state titles and 3 consecutive OB WS at 11,12, and 13.

They won 2 and lost in finals once actually. My nephew's team knows the Thunder very well. I know your nephew plays with them.

LA Legends. They won 9, 11, and lost in finals at 12, I think.

No doubt. It is like the 1A versus 5A arguments. There are some really good kids that play 1A. Just not the depth. Of course those little league teams that have the opportunity to pick up the top kids that also play USSSA in their area should do so.
