ALL the rest of the SEC teams should get together and force a move ..... THE SEC OFFICE OUT OF ALABAMA...

Every three years move it to another SEC school

I don't see the problem here. I think it makes perfect sense.

Shy of stealing, no where near cheating on your wife. Really not that hard.

It's just an odd way of saying it, which everyone who follows LSU should be accustomed to by now.

When Tennessee becomes a true contender again, this should be a non-issue.

I just don't see it. Their program is more dead than Miami. There's a number of reasons Tennessee won't climb back to elite status. Their whole program is dated and lacks appeal. They'd have to get a ton of homegrown talent and lock it in for them to be heading in that direction. They aren't anywhere near there and won't be for sure until long after miles and Saban retire.

Agreed...and as long as college football is a bunch of semi-autonomous groups, a form of this will be in place in each conference. The offices of each conference have to go somewhere, and presumably that location will coincide with one of the member schools...which will more than likely mean there will be a disproportionate number of people working there from that state. Same goes for hiring officials from the area...you'll undoubtedly hire guys with either direct or indirect ties to member programs. There will ALWAYS be either the appearance of impropriety or downright fraud because of this.

Unfortunately, unless all of college sports would allow itself to be governed entirely from the outside (in the same way the NFL oversees divisions within the NFL) this will always be the case.

As much as I enjoy listening to people point at the problems, is anyone under the impression they will be able to SHAME BAMA fans/grads into doing the right thing...? If force isn't an option, then all this is meaningless.

I have no idea what that means.

I kinda think Miles believes someone took the words "big" and "game" and combined them into an adjective. Voila "bigamy"

What if Tenn never becomes a contender again....what if it lapses into permanent mediocrity....there are certainly as many reasons to believe that will be the case as there are reasons to think Tenn will rise again....they have a weak recruiting base and for a variety of complex reasons this has finally caught up with them....in other words, I do not think Tenn will ever be a superpower again....
