Who would you rather have Anthony Davis or Chris Paul in the long run?

I thought id change the topic up because all this board has been about is the jersey(which I personally don't mind).

I would take AD because of his untapped potential and ability to be the next kg or Tim Duncan, but CP3 strikes close to the heart with a close second

PGs are a dime a dozen IMO

Even though Paul is out of this world, an elite big man is more valuable. Plus we have a VERY capable pG

I'd rather a healthy Rose or Irving over prime Paul anyway.

Anthony Davis for a few reasons

1. i don't believe the PG is a position to build a team around. That's your number two spot. your best player needs to feed off the PG.

2. age, nothing more need be said

3. the brow

we know what cp3's prime looks like. we have no clue what ad's does. i'd probably say AD though. with an elite big man a serviceable pg would suffice.

Anyone who says they would rather have Davis is a retarded homer. There is no sane reason why a man would pick AD with "the potential to become the next (insert all star power forward name here) " over arguably the best PG in the NBA. CP3 is already at the elite level in the NBA. There is no gamble. This is a no brainer.

I actually agree. Without knowing what AD will become I'd take the all NBA teamer in Paul if both were the same age.

I'd easily take Pre-injury Paul. Easily Davis post CP3-injury.

I think AD has a higher ceiling than Paul, but that still remains to be seen. We all think he will be great, but we really don't know. In this case, I'd have to go with the player I know is great, and a sure thing, Chris Paul.

I will say that this team is in better shape now going forward than it ever was with Paul. The young talent on this team really has a chance to do something special over the next few years.

So those of you saying Paul would trade AD and Jrue for Blake and Paul?

I would say 0/10 but I think you're actually serious.

Prime Paul (07-09) was arguably the best stretch by any PG ever.

I can only pick Davis if we are talking right now...if both are the same age the only way I could still pick Davis knowing what I do about how Paul will turn out is if the person offering the trade to me is a devious leprachaun with a bad vibe.
