I haven't been in that area in over 20+ years. My dad and I would pass it back in the late 70's early 80's going to the camp.

Bump, I guess not.
Classic hole in the wall honkytonk in the woods. They don't have bars like that anymore.

Know the spot. Never ventured in for fear I may not make it out alive. Been 15 years.

Are there any real honky tonks left anymore? I know Buck said to close 'em all up, but damn. I need a cold beer and a Lefty Frizzell song.

Nope. Damn sure aren't any around here. I'd live to have a place where I could drink cheap beer and hear hank Thompson on the jukebox

I remember seeing that when I was a kid. Looked like the kind of place you wanted to keep one hand on your blade.

I remember a story one of the Ole timers told me. He was driving across the bridge late at night near there and a wall hanger buck was walking across the bridge. The deer jumped over the bridge rail down into the creek bottom as his truck approached

What about the one between the west bank ferry landing and New Roads that was called Club Twoyner. For you that don't speak the local language, that is pronounced Tee-woiner. As in Tijuana, Mexico.
