Oil in truck is low

Just checked my oil before having it changed on my 04 F150. It was at the bottom of the stick. I've been running fully synthetic and hasn't quite been 5k miles since my last oil change. Should I start checking the oil level on a regular basis and just add oil or get it changed more frequently?

Either will work. But being its almost 10 years old it wouldn't hurt to change every 3k miles.

It doesn't matter. An F-150 can run without oil!

Shouldnt require changing any more often but you def have a problem and need to keep an eye on it.

Just curious, how many miles are on your truck?

You need all flex-capacitor gaskets changed. Not a big deal but very important.

Sounds more like muffler bearings to me.

I had an 04 and every oil change would show a quart low. Never found a leak or saw any drops on concrete. Had to be burning it, but never saw any smoke. Never figured it out. Have an 06 now and not any problems....

Add some of that Lucas oil stabilizer stuff. It's thick as hell and will stop a car from burning or leaking.

Definately keep an eye on it (like every time you fill up) Unless you want to un-ass the cash for a new one
