Does Alex Rodriguez have any supporters left? Is he a role model?

quote:
"I'm not giving up," Rodriguez told Sports Illustrated. "I have tremendous faith, and hopefully there's a couple more chapters to this book. And hopefully there's a happy ending somewhere. I have faith."
Through all the turmoil, Rodriguez told SI that he still wants to be considered a role model.
"Look, it's concerning," Rodriguez said. "I have two daughters at home, and I'm sensitive to that, and above all, I want to be a role model, continue to be a role model -- especially to my girls.
"So all the noise sometimes gets on my nerves, but that's it. I can't let it get any further than that. I have a job to do."
Look I have no problem if he wants to be a role model, but if he "cheated" then be a role model fess up and take the ban. Why dig your heels in the dirt and make it worse when MLB is after you?
And yes I find way MLB handled entire biogenesis thing corrupt and disconcerting. I think steroids in baseball is a bad thing as one thing that separates baseball from all sports is the records, people actually care and 715 meant something. I believe steroids/HGH helped turns Bonds into a great player into something I create on MLB The Show: Rookie Mode and no I don't think greenies, spit balls, cutting baseballs, other forms of cheating are the same as steroids.
Fwiw I think MLB should assign every team a doctor to administer steroids in a recovery only situation. Help players recover quicker from injury and keep the stars on the field. If MLB were to find a team/player abusing them hit them with a hefty fine not something small like what they've done.
TL/DR
