Which SE city would be the best landing spot for an MLS Franchise?

I bet this has been asked a ton, but asking anyway.
I say Nashville, Nearly 2 million people in the surrounding counties. Drew 30k for a mid week friendly against Paraguay. Nice destination city and if you worked it right could have a nice club in the area.

Of course when the SE proper gets a team it will be in Atlanta, which makes me nervous due to attendance issues and my hatred of all things Falcons.

In a perfect world there would be multiple teams in the SE proper...But MLS seems hell bent on two in Florida. Nashville and Atlanta or a few other cites would be important to to the league. Carolina would also be a good option.

I fricking wish Nashville.
Won't happen though. I would think Atlanta and an eventual expansion to St Louis is much more likely.

Nashvegas would probably be the pick - it's a transient city and somewhat progressive (with solid demographics) and not completely football obsessed like other southern cities.

Meh. I'm sure they'd be fine with just one since their earlier two in Florida folded together. Really looking like Beckham in Miami is going to happen.
Atlanta is by far the best option. After that, Nashville and the Carolinas...either in Charlotte or the Triangle.

I would be willing to say Nashville is more obsessed with the Titans and SEC football than Atlanta is with the Falcons.
Atlanta is bigger and has a giant Latin-American population. As long as they don't go full Chivas and take advantage of all soccer fans in the area (including the suburban families and the young metro adults), I firmly believe MLS would work in Atlanta...and I'm not just saying that because I'm an Atlanta guy originally.

They do well by NASL standards for the Silverbacks. The potential for it to work is there with the popularity of the youth game in the city and the Hispanic population. Blank wants it for the new metallic spiky rectum stadium they're building for the Falcons.
There's enough positive in my eyes to outweigh the negative of Atlanta being an apathetic sports city.

Yea but thats any big city for the most part.
Miami i think is a good location if they have a quality product.. granted i am biased
The city supports all kinds of international friendlies and summer tour events.
I think because the quality of the product is much better than previously that the chances of success/ larger crowds will be improved greatly

Perhaps, but Nashville has gotten behind the Predators the last few years. A lot of enthusiasm for sports and it would be a regional MLS team more than Atlanta's.
