Something terribly embarrassing happened a couple of weeks ago at an after funeral gathering of a dear friend.

I was showing a phone pic of our late friend to another friend, when he did something that I think NO ONE should do. He scrolled through my phone pics. How rude! But as he scrolled, he looked up at me in horror. "These are FOOD pics! Almost all pictures of food! You ADORE food!"

I sort of hung my head in shame. I think if I'd had midget porn on my phone instead of food porn, it would have been less embarrassing.

Don't feel bad for the food porn pics. My phone is littered with similar material.

Don't let the food challenged people win. Just tell them how to get to the nearest chain and be on your way.

I have a buddy who thinks my food interest is "Rediculous", "I'm a snob." This mother fricker wont eat whole cuisines, and he has the gall to call me picky. Sorry I won't drive past 15 good local spots to have a steak at Outback.

Yes my friends know. By best friends also are very interested in foods and we text pictures of food back and forth all of the time.

Almost a sure thing that I'm sending pictures when I'm grilling out. About 75% of the time I will send pictures at restaurants.

I just looked at my phone I got more pics of Food and my dogs than I do of my wife.

my friends will invite me to their house for an event then ask me what they should serve and if I'd come over and help cook it, It's the way I like it.

There is one work friend I show pictures of food. But then she wants a recipe and she doesn't understand "some of this and a little bit of that" and needs a step by step illustration with precise measurements of each ingredient, so I sometimes regret showing her.

I know, right? I would NEVER scroll through someone's pics (in front of them). That's like opening their mail.

Not sure what's more disturbing--that he handled your phone so nosily, or that the whole thing happened in a funeral context. Ick on two counts.

What do you call the after the funeral gathering? Reception? That doesn't sound right. The family chose to have it at a church hall, rather than their home. In my experience, these gatherings often turn to visiting with friends, reminiscing, story telling and laughter, so I'm not bothered by the context at all.

A swift kick to the groin was definitely called for, and should have been expected to be delivered.

Most of my friends know about my love for food, beer, and bourbon. Tons of pics on my phone.

They accept me for who I am

My phone is nothing but food and beer pics. If it wasn't for those I would hardly have any pictures.
