My mom had to buy it for me...I'm not sure how I tricked her into doing it. I think I made her think it was the soundtrack for the kids movie "The Air Up There." This was a great G-Funk soundtrack.

Either Skid Row or Appetite for Destruction.

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power; My parents saw the song "fricking Hostile" and took it away from me. I got it back though.

Probably the soundtrack to Purple Rain (Darling Nikki was #1 on Tipper Gore's "Filthy Fifteen"), although I may have gotten that one before the PMRC hit. IF I did, then it was certainly GnR's Appetite for Destruction.

The first five albums (yeah, the vinyl discs) to bear the PMRC label were:

Prince - Purple Rain

Danzig - Danzig

Soundgarden - Louder than Love

GnR - Appetite for Destruction

2 Live Crew - As Nasty As They Wanna Be

(Didn't seem to hurt any of those guys...)

Sublime

My parents found it, took it, and then gave it back to me once I turned 17. Looking back, it was actually cool of them to do so.

My son once put an N'Sync cassette into the main audio system of the home. I ran down the hall, took it out and hurled it towards his bedroom door. "Bye Bye Bye" to that $hit.

I thought that was pretty cool of me. (And, to kill the suspense, he turned out perfectly hetero. )

Papa Roach maybe.

I had a friend who though that their first album was called incest and Walmart edited it to infest.

My first one was probably ICP's album The Great Milenko when I was 14. I bought it while I was on vacation in Breckenridge and the guy sold it to me because I told him I lived in Louisiana and there's no way my parents would know where I bought it.

Maybe not a parental warning but damn censors struck the art.

This was mine for sure. I begged my dad to take me, we went to Music Warehouse or whatever that place was called on College next to Chili's and bought it. He made me take it out and put it in on the way home.

When I took it out and it had the bird on the CD cover he told me never to listen to this around my mother haha.
