I heard they would have been interested in Polytech but their lack of bowl games is alarming.

New facility improvements/enhancements are one-way tickets to better conferences
and what conference would that be?

More could easily be. That stat is a little misleading but let's not dwell on that. I don't really care. Government's job is to waste money.

Win the Sun-Belt before crowing about getting out of the bottom.

Yeah. I don't think ULL will win the sun belt this year either.

Ironically, the 4 Sunbelt bowl teams from last year weren't any of the schools that moved "up" to CUSA, so your argument is irrelevant. It was based more on facilities, market sizes and budgets.

Rats jumping off of a sinking ship. Isn't WKU already set to leave? The teams leaving are being replaced with former FCS schools. I suggested ULL dropping to FCS but it looks like the FCS is coming to them.

Hence, their facility project so they can get out of the sun belt. And to answer your question earlier of what conference they have potential to move to....CUSA, mountain west, and heck maybe the big 12 one day. Why not think big?

We aren't ready for the Big 12 yet, but keep improving the facilities, get into another conference and work our way up.
Louisiana has something to offer the Big 12 and that is our nice location along I-10 in between Baton Rouge and College Station to grab recruits that would have gone to the SEC. We may not get the five stars, but the high 3's and some of the 4's will definitely be in play.
UL going to FCS, that sounds so ridiculous at this point. We are taking off and if you guys are too insecure too handle it, that is too damn bad!
I say we expand our stadium by putting dorms under the seats and call it "educational funding".

Funny how if your a resident of LA and don't root for everything LSU we're considered penis envy fans who just root for LSU to fail, but when one of the schools in the state starts to improve their campus and athletic departments those same "fans" get so insecure about their own team. Those same "fans" who get mad at other people in the state who root against LSU bc we should "all root for every team in the state bc it makes Louisiana look better" are trying to deminish our school's achievements.
There's a reason why many fans in this state don't pull for LSU and it's because of how hypocritical most of the fans are.
