gaming system recommendation

I would like a recommendation for a used or maybe even new system - I don't need all the latest bells and whistles. just probably playing football, baseball, golf and maybe car racing. ps or xbox are the only ones that really come to mind.

It's an interesting predicament.
If you really like racing, I believe Forza will be the game you want... which is all Xbox
But if you really want to play Baseball then PS3 is the way to go as it is the only system with a decent baseball game... and by decent baseball game i mean, probably the best baseball game ever on the planet.

Well if you think you are going to play baseball a lot then get a playstation. MLB the Show is 1000x's better 2k.
If you dont think you will play baseball much Id say xbox solely because of the controller

Get a PS3 then. MLB The Show is well worth it IMHO.
