Savage is the absolute worst. He takes the most idiotic stances on issues just to be controversial. For example, he dismissed Rand Paul as a serious contender for the 2016 GOP nomination because of his refusal to come on his show.

Unless you are WWL radio... I really don't know the story why Rush et al is no longer on WWL

I think I remember hearing Rush say years ago, that the nature of his contract is, that if a FM station decides it wants to broadcast his show, it has priority over the local AM broadcasting his show.

That might be what happened with WWL.

I don't know if that's still true, but I'm pretty sure he stated that when a caller asked about his switch to a FM station in the same town.

I've also read that he would never go the Sirius/XM route, because he feels such a debt of gratitude to AM/FM. And AM should feel a huge debt to him. He singlehandedly saved it.
