Shepard Impressing at Eagles Camp

I know but it's really slow.

Cue up evals of our pass game for the last four years.

I'd love to see JJ and JL both get camp deals with the Jets.

Les loses games if he uses him more. Loved his heart but his hands were stone.

Personally I hope the guy just wrecks up the NFL just so we can shove it in all those nega-tigers faces that railed on him for the last 3 years on this site!!!

Sounds like a great reason to hope the kid succeeds.

The article basically says that he's been working harder than ever before. Staying after practice to train. If he would have done that in college his career at receiver would have been a lot better.

Link me to one article where Shep was lazy at LSU.

No doubt. If he would have done that more at LSU maybe we would be rubbing it in the faces of fans from other teams instead of arguing about rubbing it in the faces of our own.

You won't find one. I don't think anyone is saying he was lazy. But you also can't find an article from his time here that said he was putting in after-practice time catching hundreds of extra balls. That's the point.

Didn't say lazy, just maybe didn't work as hard as he could have, like the other players do. Why did Beckham, Landry, Boone, and Wright pass him on the depth chart then? With a former NFL coach with the receivers. Dural also passed by him before getting injured. Seems like a pattern. Has to be a good reason for that.

Beckham had a stretch in the beginning of last season as bad as any stretch I saw from Shep.
The other guys are stud WR's. However Shep always had the dimension of having different skills that he could bring to the table.

He's not a traditional WR and he was misused at LSU.

Pray tell what are these dimensions? This was the party line always quoted by those who felt Les was under or mis-using him. I watched LSU try to get the ball in Sheps hands multiple ways. He just never came close to consistently excelling. I always hoped he would "get it" and break out but it never happened. I still hope he makes it in the NFL but he never developed here while others around him just always seemed to pass him up.

Just excuses. He had plenty of time to hone his skills and the coaches gave him snaps from the get-go. NFL prefers traditional receivers who can run routes and catch consistently. Playing in a spread offense would have hindered his NFL development. Better numbers doesn't equal better pro success.
