Speed With Which a Snapping Turtle Strikes

The first fish he grabs isn't impressive but watch him nab that second one @ the 1:09 mark. Funny when he notices it at the :58 mark and hones in. Pay attn to him drawing in his head right before launching it.

Yeah, not all that big. He's about 4 lbs. so that makes him worth around 30 bucks.

i use to catch them about that size all the time when i was a little fella, i made a pen that was made out of 2x12's 6ftx6ft. i dug a small pool area for them that was most of the pen with other natural habitat for them. the pool area was lined with thick visqueen to hold water. i would trap minnows and bream for them out of my pond and keep them for years.
