After reading through the first few chapters of Too Big to Fail, one thing that sticks out to me is how Sorkin portrays all of the key players in such a positive light - Fuld, Dimon, Paulson, Geithner, etc.

It makes me suspicious of the slant of this book in general. What are the opinions of some who have read the book and have enough other knowledge of the details to place it in context?

I am enjoying the book but want to make sure that I have the author's biases in mind to view it through the appropriate lens.

If Aaron Sorkin wrote it, the slant of the book would make Obama's speeches look rightward slanting

Interesting. After reading The Big Short a few days ago for background, I am feeling sort of a leftward/statist drift with this book but couldn't quite put my finger on it.

Amen on Paulson. Of particular note, Sorkin's whistling past the graveyard treatment of Paulson's execution of Lehman Brothers and the well-behind-the-scene decision with Geithner on the Goldman bailout. The one he casts to the lions and the other he treats as his own company.

Oh wait...
