In no particular order, I'll start with:

John Paul Jones/John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)
Noel Redding/Mitch Mitchell (Jimi Henrix Experience)
Jack Bruce/Ginger Baker (Cream)
Muzz Skillings/Will Calhoun (Living Colour)
Les Claypool/Tim "Herb" Alexander (Primus)
Mike Watt/George Hurley (fIREHOSE)
John Paul Jones/Dave Grohl (Them Crooked Vultures)
Sting/Stewart Copeland (The Police)

Who am I missing? Go!

Good call - I don't care for Dream Theater, but there is no question the guys can flat out play - anything, any style and up against anyone, talent wise.

I got to meet Mike one time at PASIC in Dallas back in like 2000. He was an awesome guy. He did a 30 min drum lesson/performance and we got front row seats. Just amazing!
