First, and no offense meant toward the man here, what the hell does Bertman know?
Second, its not his business to say anything even if he did know something.
I doubt he does know anything, and he's just giving an outside opinion the same as anyone else. The difference is who he was for LSU, but I don't think he would step on Les Miles' toes like this if he had any inside knowledge. Skip is a respectable man, if he did know anything he would say something like, "It really isn't my place to speak on that."
Don't be surprised though if Hill gets suspended for the year. Pending no future trouble he gets allowed back on in 2014. That's one serious posibility.

No shite. It's called contingency planning. He doesn't know yet whether or not Hill will be playing, so he's preparing in case he's not. It's a lot easier to adjust to having him if you weren't counting on it than not having him if you were.
It doesn't tip his hand either way as far as what will happen to Hill.

He's made it clear that Hill is suspended. Hill pled guilty to the crime he was suspended for. If he wanted to kick Hill off he wouldn't be waiting for probation revocation hearing.

Seriously, this is probably just an opinion and not based on any insider information.

Kid is currently suspended. I'd be upset with Miles if he wasn't planning for a season without Hill.
But, given his track record I'd be surprised if he kicks Hill off the team at this point without serious legal penalties being handed out.
