OB guys, I come to you...

Long story short, I said to hell with the car and swapped back into my truck. Now I'm looking to spend some money for no good reason on it. It is due for tires soon, so I was thinking about doing a 2.5" level and some beefier tires on it. Looking at getting some 275/65/20s...so what's the best ones?

Would like to stay under $300/tire. Will be mostly driven on pavement and need something that will get me at least 40,000 miles. I also like the raised white lettering

Thanks fellas.

i have the nitto terra in that size, but i kinda wish i'd done the duratracs

they have a better looking sidewall imo, but i'm pretty happy with the nittos

id also consider the toyo open country

the toyo and the cooper discover also have 50k mile warranties too i believe

as well as the BFG rugged terrain, but i think i read mixed reviews on that tire

I like the duratracs and hear a lot of good about them...not sure if the tread pattern is good for a dd with lots of pavement use though. Seems kind of aggressive for an at.

I can confirm the short life of the duratracs. I had them on my last truck a 2500HD and they lasted about 35k miles.

Think that's what I'm leaning toward right now...either nitto or cooper. if I can get a decent price on bfg at ko, then I'll go with those...but I like the mileage warranty the others offer.

ETA: anyone have experience with Falken Rocky Mountain ATS?? Gets good ratings on discount tire website and has a 50,000 mileage warranty..

I've heard good things about the Duratracs and I've seen several reviews of guys getting 60K plus out of them when rotating every 5K. The new Toyo OC AT2 Xtreme seems to be a nice tire. I also like the Nitto Trail Grappler for more of a mud tire with pretty good highway performance.
