Civ V expansion

Has anyone played the new expansion for Civ V? I've heard it is pretty good. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it.

Got it. I've only played one game and it was alright. I only got it for $20

It's good, adds a lot of content between 1400-1700 where the game was kind of dead before.

It is really good. It makes early game scouting and city-state relationships more important.
Couple of things I'm not a fan of:
-IMO, they ruined France
-Early wars carry too much weight for too long. If you go to war early, you'll be viewed as a warmongerer for a lonnnnggg time...possibly the entire game.
-Other civs tend to hoard money, taking away trade leverage.
-The new trade system is nice but kinda helter skelter.

If anyone else is playing and annoyed by the diplomacy system, try this. It was recommended to me and supposedly does a great job.

I didn't buy the new expansion, but I bought the Gold Version with every other DLC but the new one. Gotta say I can't bring myself to pay $20 for a DLC when I got the game and 10 other DLC for $25.
