The most I've been excited for was the 2011 season and it did not disappoint. Now with Cam and the "new look" offense. I am going nuts for football to start back up.

If I'm not mistaken, LSU literally has the most defensive backs in the NFL of any school. This one is a no-brainer, which unfortunately means bama fans still won't get it.

Rickey Jefferson "has had a spectacular summer."

I'm glad he mentioned him. The kid is a stud, yet I don't think he is ever talked about in any of these topics, unless I missed it. Whether its the "bigger names" in last years' class or the fact Jordan was his brother, he isn't thought about as highly as the other members in his class.

With last years' class and this years', LSU is set fir an amazing run in the next few years.

I was thinking the same thing when he was mentioned as a possible starter in this thread.

This is my take. T. Bower starts on the end in place of D. Hunter. T. White starts for Jalen Collins, and Beckwith is so good that he plays in the middle and Kwon and Barrow play outside (That keeps Kwon outside like they want)

Bower has heavy hands and really has a knack for the position. He's a smart player that always gets his hands up when he doesn't get to the passer, which is what you want your ends to do against today's spread and hurry-up offenses. Watch his highlight tape and see how many deflections #46 gets. It's ridiculous.

my thought was possibly White at CB, Beckwith at OLB, and Neal at DE. Neal seems to be really getting talked up, and I thought I read he was closer to 252 and had gotten taller.
That would give us 3 protypical lbers in Kwon, Barrow, Beckwith

People are doubting LSU because of the losses, especially on defense, but most of those guys didn't have a great year in 2012. Minter was the only guy that stepped his game up from 2011 while just about everyone else seemed hungover from the championship run in 2011.

This team's makeup actually reminds me of 2007. 5th year senior at QB, veteran receivers with toughness on the inside and speed on the edges, a veteran o-line, and tough backs. On D we have a veteran front seven with solid corners and experienced safeties. Add in the new blood in this 2013 class and you really have a deep, talented roster of players.

On top of that, LSU could actually lose two games(Georgia & Ole Miss) and still win the BCS chip.

its hard for the gumps to admit that we're DBU and DLineU.
in all seriousness, why did Tejas ever get dubbed that?

I don't think anyone outside of Austin called them that, but they think they're a great DB school because they had Aaron Ross and Nathan Vasher...yeah, I know...2 guys. But remember, even the slightest bit of success automatically means that Texas is the best at something (in their minds). It's laughable to hear any school from the Big XII in any way lauding its defensive prowess. It's practically a 7-on-7 league these days.

Don't let that ignorant gump bitch troll ya'll. Don't lose sight of the intended purpose of the thread.

I think Chavis will continue to scheme to our advantages and we'll see Tre White in a CB a ton. Beckwith will come in at a DE/OLB roll. (Makes me wanna fap thinking about Freak at a DE roll in the 3/4). And we see a very Jennings packages on offense. The kid seems smart, can run with the best of them and his ball has incredible zip.

I'm a student and went to the open practice and there was something special about Jennings, you could just feel it. When he lets it go he can absolute spin it. '

GODDAMN I CANT WAIT FOR THIS SEASON TO START!!!
