Any chance Butler isn't put on IR?

Don't think so, though I suppose it would depend on the severity of the tear. Generally not a good idea to rush back from such a serious injury.

I don't see why he couldn't be back by November/December. I think October would be pushing it.

I'd say it depends on if anyone proves themselves in camp and preseason.

Payton is almost a vague as Belichik when it comes to that shite.

Payton also said he didn't think it was serious when the injury first happened.

It was an ACL tear correct? I believe the severity of the tear doesn't matter, as they have to replace the whole ACL anyway.

I personally don't see him on the field next year.

A clean tear of the ACL, or a partial tear of an ACL needs to be replaced completely. If all he did was tear his ACL and did no damage to the meniscus or MCL then I suppose he could return in some capacity at the end of the year. Injury messes with your mind though, unless your name is Adrian Peterson.
