My garage cleaning continues and I dug out a generator that I couldn't repair (short in the wiring harness leading to the gen). Motor runs great and shows as brand new.

I need a cool new project - garage cleaning sucks.

What would you do/build with it?

I don't have a 4 wheeler. I know - loss of 10 man points.

Thinking about building a small boat maybe. Something cool for the kids.

Would work.

Monday going down to New Orleans, I saw a 4 engine airboat that was about 25' long. Couldn't get a picture. It was one big arse boat.

I put a blower on one from a Pontiac Bonneville SSEI- still have it. Makes 14 pounds of boost at about 4000 rpm.

I think it may be the baddest arse mud motor ever made- even though I've never put it on said mud motor to actually try.

Knowing how to weld and machine isn't always a good thing.

The funny thing is that I started with a Kehin flat slide carb- it would pull so much air across it that the carb would freeze up and contract so much that the throttle would stick wide open.

Ended up with a 33mm (I think) Kehin round slide from like an '86 CR250- the round slide seemed to be more ok with the cold and would allow the throttle to open and close right.

C'mon goddamnit- how many other people you know have sucessfully blown a Vanguard? If you come to Raceland today, you can crank it up and drive it around. It starts, runs, idles, works.

It's on a tube chassis model of a '33 Ford (kinda) except it has pulling tires on it. I wouldn't know since you're such an expert and all, but when I hooked it to the NTPA sled in Minneapolis, all I could see was 14 psi on the boost gauge.

Fishfighter, a 4 engine boat like this?

LINK

A friend was using the first one he built on a construction project, very cool to watch. Chain electric also has several for work now. I have seen theirs in and around Fourchon several times.
