I know people are gonna say that Harper being on the PUP is addition by subtraction, but I'm interested to see how he can play in the new system. That's a lot of money sitting on the sidelines for 6 weeks.

I do not think this is how it works. I think that if a player starts out the season on the PUP list then he misses the first 6 weeks. I'm pretty sure that right now all that it means is that the player does not take up a roster spot and is unable to participate in practice.

This doesn't mean he has to sit for the 1st 6 weeks. The preseason PUP is different than the regular season PUP

I read somewhere that the Training Camp PUP is different than the PUP to start the season. Players can be on the PUP in training camp as long as they come off before the season starts and can play games right away. I think it's when they stay on the PUP into the season is when they have to miss the mandatory 6 games. So the only one I would really read into is Butler. Because everyone knows he's out for probably the year.

The player would have to come off PUP by the 1st week of the regular season. If not, player misses weeks 1 through 6.
I heard Darren Sharper on the radio a couple days ago mentioning something about P Rob being injured, but missed the details.
