NBC may put it on before Sunday night football. All I can say is glad to see TNT go.

Get ready for ESPN to give NASCAR the NHL treatment now - Sportscenter RARELY mentions hockey anymore after they lost that contract.

I wonder if this is a sign of things to come with ESPN's contracts now that they have two companies bidding against them?

I believe so. I figure Fox will try to bid for some more sports because I think they'll need a little bit more live programing and I hear that Fuel could turn into Fox Sports 2.

This. Former NASCAR fan here. The chase ruined my interest in the sport, plus the 48's domination of the sport makes it boring.

I watch the NHL and NASCAR. Sportscenter's coverage hasn't affected my enjoyment. I just choose other information outlets, not that you are saying it does. Just saying.

I don't understand the hate for the 48 dominating other than people just not liking Jimmie. Petty dominated and people loved him and NASCAR. If someone else was dominating (Smoke, Jr, maybe not Kyle Busch), I think the domination itself wouldn't be a problem.

I'm not a 48 fan, but that team has just been flat out better than everyone else. I blame everyone else, not the 48 team.

The 24 would have 2 more titles if it weren't for the chase.

Maybe 30 races per year would be better too.

Hmmm......I'm surprised by this figured ESPN would latch on and never let go.

Like everyone, I'm glad TNT is gone but I wish ESPN would stay. I like Fox so that's good

That's with all the channels, TNT is no different or worse, they all suck. You get more use out of MRN.

I'm not talking just championships. Last 5 years Jimmie leads the Cup series in wins with 24. Next closest is Hamlin with 18, then Stewart 15, Kyle 14. Jimmie has 10 more wins than the Wheelman Kyle in the last 5 years. In that same time, he is 2nd in starting on the pole and 1st in average finish.

LINK

Jump to last 10 years and Jimmie has almost twice as many wins as the next closest driver. Jimmie has 58 wins to Tony's 31.

LINK

It's not even close. The 48 team has the field covered. It's gross how consistently good that team has been.

Hopefully NBC can put together a decent product, they now hold the rights to F1, IndyCar, & NASCAR .... A racing 'monopoly' of sorts

I keep hearing this excuse. If you hate the Chase what did you do after the first 18 races before there was a Chase and the Championship was decided halfway through the season?

Yeah, I don't particularly like the Chase either and really didn't like it at first but there's nothing we can do about it and its probably necessary to help with ratings and such.

I don't like it but it doesn't stop me from enjoying each race and I understand its necessary to have some more excitement in modem times

Outside of a few races, that is predominately how I follow the action. I mainly use MRN because of outdoor activities, better coverage on radio, and TNT.
