Saturday Down South made an article discussing it

Make or break for Zach

But even when rebuilding, LSU is must-watch in 2013. They easily have the talent to win the national championship, but it’s going to come down to the revamped offense.

No. We need to regain national respect.

And we can do just that.

From what we know now, I think they are adequately rated. If Cameron proves to positively impact the offense, then we are underrated. Its just tough to evaluate this team with so much unknown.

Literally the same question the success of our season is dependent upon every season. We always have the athletes or the defense or the talent, but can we score enough points?

While your point is valid, I don't think that is the main issue. My opinion is that we will be in great shape if all we do is improve on efficiency. We can put up the same number of yards and points as last year and be in contention. What has to change is avg number of plays, 3rd down %, and turnover margin. With only that improvement, we are easily a 10 win team.

I have a feeling that our offense will get better and our defense will decline. Making us somewhat meh for this year. I hope I'm wrong.

I've seen 15, 17, and 18 on different places and that is definitely underrated for us.

If we're ranked outside the top 10, then yes. I have no doubts we'll be one of the best 10 teams in the country.

Yup. I am ecstatic. For once in recent memory LSU is flying under the radar with an experienced QB and no QB controversy.

I dont understand this mind set. we had the best record in college football in 2011 and won the sec. we were still in contention for the sec west until the last saturday of the regular season in 2012. what have other teans done to gain respect over LSU? Bamas really the only team.

its really not about scorung enough points. Miles has had a top 10 margin of victory almost every year.

Look at 2007. losing games while putting up 50 pts.

The rankings are also based on where they think the team will finish at the end of the season. LSU's schedule is a factor for being ranked outside of the Top 10. I think everyone realizes that facing LSU on the field is a tough task for any team in the country but with the 2013 LSU schedule it will be difficult for LSU to finish in the Top 10.

I kind of like going into a season not being ranked in the top 10 for a change. It could provide extra motivation for the team to do even better.

I do believe they are underrated, but a lot of their success will depend upon how quickly Cam Cameron can get the offense rolling and make it much more productive than it has been the past two seasons.
